Better believe it, it’s dubious getting careful figures. I think you did well to get what you did! I found those figures truly fascinating. It’s terrible that our “industry mammoths” are still minnows in other enterprises’ terms. Yet at the same time, in any event SOMEONE is doing admirably with RPGs! hehe.

@ Chris – Thanks, Chris. It was a good exercise for myself to look at the money prospects of a roleplaying blog (and other ideas I have). Hopefully it helped some other people too.

Man, just blasted through this series. Great work on this! I’m actually in the process of ‘betting on myself’ with another kickstarter. based on what I’ve made in the past, I’d say you are pretty close to the mark on these numbers. I’ll definitely be reading more on this site!

Yeah, it’s tricky getting exact figures. I think you did well to get what you did! I found those figures really interesting. It’s unfortunate that our “industry giants” are still minnows in other industries’ terms. But still, at least SOMEONE is doing well with RPGs! hehe.

@ Oliver – Thanks, I’ve received some great feedback on the series. I really was hoping to bring more hard numbers to people, but it is very difficult to find ACCURATE numbers sometimes.

My personal earnings from Game Mastery Pro are around $150/month now. I’m very happy with what how it is doing. I just bought a new computer with that money. My wife and I are planning on using the future earnings to hire a company to do our lawn maintenance (mowing, edging, trimming, etc.). That is a HUGE luxury for us, as we spend a decent amount of time each week doing that. It will free up time for me to work on other things that I enjoy doing (like websites!).
