Here are links for pen and paper roleplaying games, board games, card games, and everything that goes with these games that we found interesting on the week of March 13th, 2015.
We’ve really been on the Kickstarter bandwagon lately, as it seems there has been quite a few successful RPG Kickstarters going on. We added a couple more here today plus some sites we visited along the way. Enjoy!
– 12 Nutty Dungeons & Dragons Media Mentions From the 1980s (Mental Floss) Thankfully, were very far removed from the stigma that people who play Dungeons & Dragons are devil-worshippers. But it wasnt that long ago that I was a kid and my parents wouldnt let me play D&D due to paranoia about the game (but I got to play Palladium FRPG which is way worse IMO). Here are some crazy things mentioned about the game during the time I was growing up/em>
– Legend of the Five Rings – Legend of the Five Rings is a game that has always interested me. Ive purchased their products, read some of their books, but Ive never pulled the trigger on actually playing in or running a campaign yet. Im going to revisit the game now and if you havent checked it out, I think you should too!
– Alderac Entertainment Group – Legend of the Five Rings is a product of Alderac Entertainment Group. They are a solid company that produces some pretty cool games, including roleplaying games, collectible card games, board & card games, as well as the accessories that go with those games like books and dice.
– AMP: Year Two Kickstarter – Support the first sourcebook for AMP: Year One, which includes a 2016 timeline, brand new powers and lots of additional player options. It has already funded, the current Stretch Goals will unlock new Affiliations for each $1500 they raise over their core goal.
– Blades in the Dark Kickstarter – Blades in the Dark is a tabletop RPG about a crew of daring scoundrels building a criminal empire in a haunted city full of thieves. It has already funded, so it is getting into Stretch Goal territory if you’re interested in seeing the game developed even more.
